Be careful with this statement. Although it is real and objective you can be banned for posting this. It all depends from who writes what. From Marketsurfer at lot of lies or insults are accepted, while from others real and objective remarks are followed by a threat from the webmasters. Not that being banned would dramatically change my life.
I quite enjoy those of your posts I've read, I find you reasoned and reasonable in them, so please allow me to note something. When I first joined this forum, the rules for Journals were different from the rest of the forum. Journals were viewed as personal space, like your home, and anyone commenting was supposed to be respectful and constructive. I quite like that, it encourages people to journal, knowing they will not be subject to ridicule no matter how poorly they may trade. And for those who trade well, it keeps away the trolls. That changed with the Surf Report, a Journal which to the best of my knowledge is the only one to have been moved to Chit Chat, because frankly, that is really where it belongs; it's a marvel that this incarnation is still here. I don't spend much time looking at Journals, the exceptions being quality stuff that Atticus and his later handles put up, or Daal has going now, so I can't say if the old rules still apply there, but I hope they do. That so much leeway has been granted here is testimony to how this particular Journal is viewed. This is Surfs journal, his space, he gets to write what he wants basically, within some limits I think. For the rest of us, less so. If Magna sees some line has been crossed, let's just respect that. We still have lots of leeway to call Surf out on his crap, just not flog a dead horse. Just my view and reasoning, you may of course disagree and you have every right to.
And keeps down clutter. Of 108 pages, ~100 are repetitious, useless trolling. It's tough to follow OP's analysis of specific tickers -- have to search through endless garbage.
Well, I can't disagree, but let's all be honest about motivation, cause and effect. Surf wants page views. Would you care to hazard a guess as to what percentage of his proudly proclaimed page views are due to the 'trolls'? Where would he be talking to himself? He knowingly invites reactions, let's not kid ourselves.
A lot of page views are just trolls obsessively re-re-rechecking the journal for mistakes or typos by OP. I'm sure no journal-author seeks those views.
Maybe ask yourself the question: Why does this only happen to Marketsurfer? Maybe Marketsurfer is the cause himself. If not, other posters would have the same problem. But that's not the case. If many people attack you, you are the problem, not they.
