Should a target be able to ask for a change of venue for Grand Jury. ( In Manhattan Trump received 3% of the vote) Especially if the DA could care less about a conviction but only wants to embarrass a political opponent by releasing personal financial data
you whitewash righties' prejudice and stubborn clinching to ignorance in a pursuit to your proletariat utopia. Those insecurities are cultural and hardly the work of some invisible hand.
Now, only if the FBI and DOJ were doing there jobs, there is nothing like abuse of power written all over this witch hunt by this District Attorney? There has to be limits to his authority and who is tasked to oversee him do his job? Who is his boss? Both of them need to be fired then, prosecuted for various violations of law.
I'd agree that there are underlying traits that are exploited. I still believe that if the pie was being shared more equitably between the ruling and the working class, there would be less overt animosity between the "white" and non-"white" working class. As for the religious divide, well... that's a tough one.
If the alleged crimes were committed in NY then it would be hard to move a case outside of that district. Trump's attorneys will have plenty of time to voir dire the jury pool to weed out political bias. Trump is no longer a political opponent really but might be embarrassed if he is not as wealthy as he claims or hides how little he pays in taxes. If fraud is claimed, it would take years to go through all of that. DA does not necessarily have a full case yet without teh returns so it might not get very far publicly during discovery.
