I support ban after 6 weeks for my state, but it will never be passed. That would take care of the rape and incest and the inconvenient pregnancies. Life of the mother would be an exception basis up to viability. By the way, the life of the mother is never a reason for partial birth abortion. That is a canard.

So it's OK for Republican states to force rape victims to carry their rapist child? Why are all these states Republican?

If a state chooses to do that, then yes. Please indicate the states that have done that.

    ALABAMA

Political control: Alabama has a Republican-controlled legislature and a Republican governor who want to ban or restrict access to abortions.

Background: In 2019, Alabama lawmakers approved what was then the most stringent abortion ban in the country, making it a felony to perform an abortion at any stage of pregnancy with no exceptions for pregnancies resulting from rape or incest.

The state has the right to do that. Nothing wrong with that at all. I , myself, support bans after 6 weeks.
