Good luck with your assertions. While schools system attempt to push illegal immigrants parents to go through with getting proper vaccinations from an American medical professional -- and even offer free vaccinations & guidance in the process --- the reality based on reports in our state is that at least 10% of the children of illegal immigrants in K-12 school are not properly or fully vaccinated in our state. At least 30% of these children have incomplete and questionable vaccination documentation. In North Carolina and most other states -- you must allow a child to attend the first 30 days of K-12 school before even thinking about denying them permission to attend due to lack of vaccination paperwork. Then there is a lengthy process required to allow parents to produce vaccination paperwork before the student can be excluded from attendance. If the parent must obtain "paperwork" from their home country then there is a 180 day additional grace period. Information on general North Carolina vaccination rates in general can be found here. The anti-vax crowd in North Carolina accounts for 1450 children incoming out of1,518,465 students in 2018 (0.095%) up from 817 in 2012. Medical exemptions account for 120. I will note that most anti-vaxers are not right-wing religious parents but left-wing zealous anti-vaxers in our state.
Sounds like your state needs to get their shit together then. That doesn't fly in Texas or "lefty" filled Cali https://dshs.texas.gov/immunize/school/school-requirements.aspx https://www.nvic.org/Vaccine-Laws/state-vaccine-requirements/california.aspx In any case, we're getting sidetracked; amoebas aren't viruses, so talking vaccines is irrelevant.
Considering that California leads the nation in unvaccinated children and preventable disease outbreaks in K-12 schools — we probably do not want to emulate them. Go ask the parents in Marin County how California’s policies are working out for them.
hence the outlawing of anti-vaxxers; not immigrants. Also, a source for your assertion would be nice. Quick Fact:On June 30, 2015 Governor Brown signed SB 277 into law. New personal and religious belief exemptions will not be allowed in California daycare, preschool, and K-12 schools, effective July 1, 2016. However, if a parent files a letter or affidavit stating beliefs opposed to immunization prior to Jan. 1, 2016 that exemption will apply until the next grade span checkpoint. For more information, please read the statute here, and register and log into NVIC's Advocacy Portal for updates. To understand options available to Californians please read NVIC’s Newsletter Article - The Fallout from California SB277: What Happens Next? In 2011 AB-499 Minors: medical care: consent was passed which allows minors 12 years old and older to consent to vaccines for sexually transmitted diseases without the knowledge or consent of their parents. This includes HPV vaccine.
So California addressed antivaxers but ignored illegal immigrants as the primary source on unvaccinated children. No wonder California leads the nation in outbreaks of preventable diseases in K-12 schools.
