  4. Without spending anytime reading anything about the topic, I am just wondering whether the idea could be applicable for every employer to split its current full-time appointment into two half-time appointments to be arranged/offered by two separate legal entities that are owned by the original same owner(s).

This way, the employees can get better incomes from two half-time jobs sitting in the same office and seat during whole day, without adding or working any incremental hours. While the government could get less taxes based on second job arrangement.

Also a retail shop owner owning more than two shops at different locations would be also willing to ofer two half-day jobs to a same employee for better incomes due to 2nd job tax arrangement.

Furthermore, legally many business owners if not all could simply register another business name for generating a 2nd income like charging huge consulting fees to the 1st business. Therefore, taking the 2nd income tax advantage?

A worker could also operate a self-employ job working from evening till next day early morning as his main job due to say 8.5 hours work charging the day-time employer 50% actual income, while his current job as 2nd job due to only 8 hours work charging the same employer another 50% actual income, for taking advantage of a 2nd job tax advantage. All legal??

  5. I think the idea is good and valid when an economy one day has to prepare and transit from all full-time jobs gradually to all half-time jobs in the future. Then no more any jobs in the far future due to robots.

Thank you for your feedback. The second occupation has to be another registered business to the existing occupation. Either another registered company, partnership or registered self employment sole trader. When you fill out the annual self assessment forms, you have to submit answers to another section if you run more than one registered business.

This in itself would identify the second business as a secondary occupation, it has to be a different operation and provide a different service. The same applies for PAYE entities that have their own unique PAYE number. In short as long as it is a registered business, which provides a different operation to the existing employer or self employment then it will qualify.

To be able to qualify for the second personal taxation allowance the second occupation has to have a separate legal identity or registration number at the Inland revenue. To be able to qualify for the primary personal taxation allowance the information required to identify whether someone is viable for the secondary personal taxation allowance is submitted.

This is something else that I was trying to achieve. When people work more than one job they should receive a taxation break. Why? If they earn less money and have to do more than one job it could take them out of poverty and it provides a flexiblity to the labour market. It also offers an opportunity for people doing full time work to supplement their income.

Thank you. I am trying to generate economic growth, resolve pay disputes and alleviate poverty through the policy. Your support is helpful and appreciated.

  9. imo, the world is puzzled by what would be the future economy when most people don't have any job.

I would suggest in the future getting too much work should be penalised for a fine, once reported or found out by others.

Anyway, good luck to your work! :) Sign off now.
