  3. I know several people that use this software and assure me that this guy is sincere although right now I do not use his software. Firstly the ones the ones that ridiculed Murray need to check their spilling beefore thiy poynt the finga other fowks. ( It really brings down your credibility). Secondly, the guys in business to make money not because his wife looks like Oprah and needs to get out of the house, so if he wants to make an offer as an incentive thats his prerogative. It is supposed to be a solid and useful backtesting tool, if you want to pick faults with fools ripping people off there are much better examples for you to pick on.
    best wishes

This doesn't really answer the question why you don't use these systems to run a much more profitable money management firm.

  5. Why the incessant bashing?

Mr. Ruggiero enjoys developing systems and would like to be compensated for the effort. A cursory look at his background and published works is enough to ascertain his track record in systems dev.

People like him pay for the privilege to post your inanity on ET. If you don't like what he has to say, by all means do make use of the ignore button. It's only a mouse click away

  6. Geez

It is really a shame that you folks lack the ability to think critically about this..I like the backtesting software specfication that I read on Mr. Ruggiero's site...If it does what he says it does, then I think it is a good product that is priced about right...

Systems development is another subject. In my opinion, it is unrelated to the backtesting product that he offers to sell.

Try to get it right at least once in your lives.

Its like watching little children playing in the sand around here.

Thanks for the support. The product does what I say at this price point because I developed it for my own research. This was a very expensive development well over seven figures and one of the reasons that we sell systems, that is how we can fund this kind of effort. You can't have a large staff of programmer required for this type of effort and have to worry about drawdowns. Software sales fund research, that is how I have always done it. Since I am always developing new tools, having a large user base and making these new tools available to this base was a better business plan than trying to sell a $3000.00 platform with only a few users.

  8. Quote from Murray Ruggiero:

When it comes to selling trading systems, the vendors can't win. I am at least trying to use a third party in my evaluating, good or bad.

FuturesTruth is not the one - they have a bad reputation of systems not working like they did once tracked. Try Collective2.com, TimerTrac or possibly TimerDigest

"It made a ton of money for over two years plus after release. Many people really made this money in their accounts. Then it ran into problems"

This is standard fare for packaged systems. They cannot handle changing market geometry. This is the probelm with FutureTruth.

congrats murray, keep up the good work. Although I dont currently trade your systems, a good pat on the back for posting good performance (into the future) is worth acknowledging.

  10. I really don't get it! You spend so much time attacking and making Ruggiero defend himself, his record, his claims and for what? What is the point Is he hurting any of you? He is obviously a sponsor on ET and is paying to have your crap heaped on his head. (At least check your spelling so those of us who can spell can enjoy reading your bs)

No one seems to bother with guys like Volker. In checking his posting history, almost every one of them relates to Monte Carlo Simulation and its perceived value to system testing not to mention the link to his website with his products and the endless screen shots that accompany them.

Is he a sponsor, no. In fact, someone has even requested that he stop spamming in the past and he hasn't. It is still the same thing with almost every post. At the least, maybe he could become a sponsor of this site so he can enjoy the abuse of everyone when he makes some claim about the value of MCS!
