sorry lundy ...no you don't know that, you can only beleive it. (and there's nothing wrong with that)
you can scientifically prove the contents and presence of air everything meta physical are man made thought and beliefs
well, i'm not going to turn this into an atheist versus theist thread, if you want to discuss it in private, your welcome to send me a private message. i should get back my old signature: to each his own.
no prob lundy though I understood it to be a trader / superstition thread I normally prefer to have an open discussion in the hope of finding a solution to different viewpoints. Then again thats the more scientific approach
RS7, Wasn't opening day yesterday? How did he do as the mascot? That is way more important than this stuff...
Yeah, yesterday was opening day...home opener. I am not sure if he was "sammy" yesterday...haven't spoken to him. They have him doing different stuff all the time. I just think the mascot thing is really funny. BTW...he wants to be a trader!!!
One reason traders may tend towards superstition is the fact that they are constantly dealing with large, potentially either destructive or beneficial, forces that are impossible for them to either control or know much about the workings of. This idea could be reasonably well-supported from an anthropological standpoint. And isn't it interesting that a trader who shows masterful ability to predict and work within these forces is quite often regarded with respect and awe in much the same way as a tribal shaman would be? Or even called a 'guru'? Just a note on Allah- My issue with him is that his followers generally hate porno so much that they run the internet through proxy servers to block all that nasty stuff. Which plays hell with your incoming data feed speed and dependability. So far all I can do is repeat Bismallah arraham arrahim (In the name of Allah the most gracious the most merciful) a few times before firing up my ticker Any advice on this from other mid-eastern traders out there? Don't worry, I'm an American raised on grandma's apple pie. Just over here for my job.
