I don't understand why so many people are gushing with excitement about a trading system.
Lots of trading systems can work. I thought we had all agreed that trading is 90% mental and 10% system.
Sorry friends but just because you have a super duper system (another one to add to the others) doesn't mean you can make money unless you have the absolute convinction to follow it through thick and thin and you are sure that overall, it will return a positive outcome. I can't speak for anyone else but for me I only lose money when I don't adhere to my business plan.
If you want a trading system I'll post mine. Guaranteed success, never before seen, stay tuned, forget everyone else, this is it, time wasters need not apply, the real deal.....coming soon. Watch this space.:D :D

    Anchor,
You are right of course. If you learn just one single thing it is worth remembeing. I said exactly that.
I already said that I do admire SE for what he has said, and what he has attempted to do here. I just find the details of his "strategy" to be non-essential or even harmful to traders trying to learn. However, I do find myself following his thread and seeing if maybe I have been missing something, and hopefully I can learn something useful too. I just guess the whole SE persona has worn thin on me.
We all have tiny little brains, George Soros is a retard, SE is rich, so that entitles him to be cocky, etc., etc.
Also I find it amusing that Fasterpussywhatever is so obviously either SE himself, or his lover. Not that it isn't pretty funny and clever to post with the style of SE and use the name to go with it. It just sort of bleeds off his (or her) surface credibility. Also, if he didn't WANT this kind of outrage (and mine is admittedly half hearted...I find myself liking SE), he would have used a different approach.
Hope we all learn something here. I especially hope I get to learn what the difference between stochastics, rsi, and macd's are.
    Good trading to all!

  3. you don't have to educate me on soros, i've read his books and he was one of the original reasons i got into trading.

the guy has some crackpot political views, but i'm sorry, there is no way to just write off the greatest hedge fund manager of all time.

sorry but i have to agree that soros is just a puppet for the fed!!!! he has an agenda as does the fed. isn't it funny how everything the imf/word bank touches falls to ruin..... soros might have been a decent trader but give me the same type of backing and i could ruin malaysia also. where's quantum located anyway, the bahamas, bermuda??? shouldn't this Philanthropic soul pay taxes also???

  5. if i had the connections to set up offshore and protect my ten figure payouts, i would too...

i have no interest in defending the guy, especially since he has gone so ridiculously left wing in his old age.

but to say that Soros is nothing but a fed puppet, let alone 'oh sure i could have done that too,' is just plumb dumb.

I really thought that by questioning the validity of his technique, and his style, that I have been contributing to his thread. No one should be "demoralized" by anything said here. This is supposed to be an open and educational forum. The idea is to get people to think! To be able to challenge, question, oppose, agree, discuss, explore, teach and learn.
I am sorry you feel that sides have to be taken. I really do hope to learn something from SE. That is why I have followed this. Also, you don't seem to get the concept of respecting those with whom you disagree. I respect SE. I hope to glean knowledge from him. As he says, he is not finished. I thought I could question him along the way....and have some fun in the process. I didn't realize that this would cause such divisiveness. You have told me this morning that nothing I had to say in my "successful trading" thread was of value. That is fine if that is what you think. But it came across as an "us versus them" kind of remark. That is too bad. How come you didn't contribute to that thread? Not one word either in agreement or disagreement. No questioning, nothing! Maybe my style wasn't inflammatory enough to merit your attention.
    Good luck and good trading.

SE, welcome back. Been waiting for you. Your fans seemed to be getting restless and cranky.

Anyway, I was hoping you could answer my questions about stochastics, RSI, and MACD's...what the differences are, and which are more dependable.

    Thanks.

  10. Just goes to show how easily ppl get indignant from another trader proclaiming his technique -- as if we were discussing religion here.

Would you all prefer super_ego to preface every line with "most of the time . . . usually a good idea to . . . hopefully this trade will go your way . . . " ad infinitum? Geez, how old are we? Let's everyone get a grip, obviously everyone has his or her own methods. If someone is taking the trouble to post theirs, so be it, make another thread to complain.
