Super Money Grid w/D'Alembert Progression and Unbalance Control GBP/USD

  1. LCFX,

    Thanks for the info.

Do you think it would be prudent to do an analyisis of all of the pairs?

Something like...How the pair moves (volatility) vs. its 20 year max range and its spread?...

I suspect that the grid space input could be regulated to just about trade any range from any pair...its just that finding the "sweet spot" could be difficult.

I would love to have an EA that was more dynamic and would auto-adjust some inputs. I am curious about how the unbalance control functions on this test in this thread.

  2. I tried it on two different platforms and it still doesn't show in the experts folder after the platform is opened. I sent you a PM to see if you can email it to me. I have downloaded hundred of indicators and expert advisors and have no clue why it doesn't work this time.

  3. It's interesting that right now I am using no margin!!!! The opening trade for this EA was a long and a short at the same time. It will leave those trades open and build upon it's postions according to the movement of price.

I am demoing on one of those dealers that allows hedging and counts a long and a short as one trade. But this dealer does not even account for ONE TRADE yet! I am using no margin. Now this can get very interesting considering that there is an unbalance control built into this EA.

What does the unbalance control have to do with this you ask?...Well if I am lucky (I do not consider myself a lucky person) this dealer counts the aggregate longs and shorts in the same pair, no mater when they are placed, and zeros out the margin if they are equal. The unbalance control is the equalizer.

Is this a deep dark secret? Have I found the Holy Grail Dealer? Should I move out of the USA (I have been thinking about it)?

Folks keep looking at all of the dealers out there you will find what I am talking about. I do not mean to sound rude, but I am unable to advertise for dealers here in ET, so please do not ask me for the name. ...not by PM either, Thanks!

P.S. Here is the other problem. Would I plunk down 50K into one of these sort of dealers?...

  5. Folks...

The choice of your dealers is not a part of this thread. It is my fault for starting the discussion.

I am more interested in not naming dealers...just generalities about the terms you get with the various no name dealers.

Please do not post names of dealers, if you would be so kind...Remember I am not the only moderator here...HeHe

Thanks..I regret opening up the thread to the wrong topics for discussion. I will be more careful in the future.

Now...Back to the business at hand...Any good porn sites out there? (Just joking do not answer that!)

  6. Hello everybody, it has been slow today:

Here is a screenshot. Finally a trade was placed causing the margin to appear at $6.13. This is slow holiday trading plus the grid is set at 60.

When this 0.02 sell trade was placed that orange red line really sucked up closer. It's been a long time since I used a martingale and those boundries really move at an accelerated pace compared to using a 0.01 lotsize. I do not like martingale, but this is fun to see. How long do you guys predict it will take for a blow up?

  7. Here is the first trade:

The bigger TP's net larger numbers compared to the earlier super money grid thread....the numbers are bigger but the gridspaces are wider This is a 4K trading account and I need the yield, so I will see if I can hit 35% APR per year.

Notice a new buy order was placed, right after the exit. This causes the grid to continue to take TP's in the event it continues to rise...it will also lay a trail of sells behind it. I am not sure when the unbalance control will kick in.. Also the D'Alembert martingale does not simply just double each time...so lets watch and discover what is really happening here. Perhaps the D'Alembert in combination with the unbalance control might be a more conservative approach then you think.

This is not for the faint at heart. But if the margin is handled by the dealer the way I think it is ...well the sky is the limit...literally.

    Start Capital: $4,000.00
    # of Calendar Days Traded: 1 (Start = 01/15/12)
    Profit: $5.48
    Float: -$8.45
    NAV: -$2.97 Percent: -0.07%
    Margin Used: $6.14

  8. It says there are 14 downloads at the time of this post...is anybody else having a problem to install the EA on their platform?

Please post yes or no...I need to know. Assuming anybody is reading this thread....let me put it this way...would the other person reading this thread please report? ☺

Why is it that I like Forex and involved with a den a thieves that have a reputation as a well hmmm...den of thieves? The only folks that make money in the Forex world are the thieves/dealers....maybe its the challenge...or the denial that I am in...hehe

  9. 35% of 4k = $1,400.00 per year.

If I move out of the USA and I could find 6 dealers to load this EA up on....well that is only $8,400.00 per year. At least one of those dealers will close their post office box and take off with my money in the next 6 years.

    What am I doing?

I cannot double the lotsize when I get 8K (because of the "martingale effect").....I must open up another 4K account.

Maybe this EA will make more than 35%...or it doesn't need 4K start capital...maybe only $2,500.00...1k...etc

It is very slow trading just now and perhaps I am over reacting. But to forward test just a few months will not even begin to answer my questions...this is just a crapshoot. I need to find out where the limits of this EA are. I am not smart enough to figure it out, I admit it. I do know that martingale is not the answer and will eventually take all my money before I can bank even 50% of the 4K.

So why do I do this? I am a gambler...HeHe...a conservative gambler if there is such a thing. You got to admit, this can make for a very interesting thread.

  10. I am waiting to see how the heck the D'Alembert progression works with a system that exits only when a group of trades win...This is very confusing to me and I am most curious what the next tradesize will be on the trail of sells if the price continues to rise in one direction. What will be the next buy lotsize? The ingredients of the D'Alembert logic do not work with this EA...unless I am missing something.

    http://www.swapme.net/mroops-free/Mr Oops D'Alembert.pdf

Then there is this unbalance control thingy...when does that kick in?

...sheesh I am glad this is a demo... rule: never trade an EA live unless you understand every aspect of it. LOL...don't start a thread either...too funny...oh well the blind leading the blind here in ET once again.

    What an adventure.

P.S. I will slap the trader who takes this live because of this thread. Please don't.
