Here's an update on progress, has been a while. I wasn't going to bother posting updates any longer but one poster today was teasing me a tad about my trades so that kinda jolted me to post today.
Supalgo is still an algo I use but it's not exclusively what I use to make my trading decisions, I also use other means which I won't go into as it gets complicated, but basically briefly I run watchlists with alerts as I follow some favorites and this assists me to remain focused, and there are other methods.
This Monday coming I intend to place a couple of trades, one is from supalgo finding, another is from another method.
    image.png
A couple of notes re above, as the bear mkt took hold last year, I stopped placing trades mid November.
January 3rd I began going long again (first trading day of the year), with 7 trades placed in January.
Bravura Solutions #97, my wife scolded me very hard about this trade so I took her advice and unfortunately exited. Have decided best not discuss trading with wife, we rarely see eye to eye on this subject. Bravura just kept roaring up.
Jumbo / JIN #95 is one of my better gambles, up 65% so far in 2 months, they are involved with online gambling, LOL.
Average trade size about $12k per position.
The week that has just been, placed 3 trades.
23 trades placed this year since market bounce, of those 3 exited, holding the remainders.
I remain bullish atm, see no danger lurking inspite of many calls for market top atm on ET which I plain hands down disagree with.
Overnight got a signal gold is gonna trend up, might buy an additional position but AMI is a copper gold play which I have 30k riding on atm, not too keen on adding too much more weight onto gold.

Just now bought ALL, Aristocrat Leisure, which is a digital gaming / betting manufacturer.
    500 x $24.369
An intraday supalgo scan picked up this one today.
Today's scan found 12 contenders, this looks the best of the bunch.
St Barbara (gold) is one which popped up on scan today but I bought this stock yesterday.

At yesterday's close my portfolio had gained $5,800 for the day (Monday), the daily gains are growing as the market advances and I'm throwing more money into it, today down $700 odd thereabouts.
No danger signs yet of mkt flipping back down, remaining cautiously bullish atm.

Universal Coal, one stock which I have two speculative bets on, has a trading halt, pending an announcement.

Just now sold NEC, Nine Network/Nine Entertainment.
Expecting mkt to fall shortly so am looking at thinning out positions.
NEC, will come back to it at another date, atm it is not looking promising so just sacrificing.
Taken a 4% loss. Have set an alert to revisit at $1.50.

Portfolio increased by $1,751 for today, gold is helping me up as well as JIN (the lottery ticket stock) JIN is bringing a 91% return for me so far for a couple of months holding period.

Have shut my wallet, no more buying.

UNV Universal Coal, still in a trading halt, when I bought this recently (twice) at 35c I calculated I couldn't lose on these trades with a dividend yet to be announced, buyer sniffing it, and cheap as a lump of Christmas stocking coal according to my sums.
We'll see what transpires shortly when it trades again.
I have approx $14,700 riding on it.

Mkt here getting hammered, I'm calling the top for the year my guess.
    Downhill from here.

Today Universal Coal came off trading suspension since 19th March, about 3 weeks suspension.
When Supalgo spotted this and I did a little homework I figured this speculative position couldn't lose money if purchased at 35c per share.
Today it announced a 2c dividend plus a non binding conditional offer has been made to buy out Universal Coal at 40c per share.
Right at the moment Universal Coal (UNV) is trading at 37.5c.
Will sit right now, might put an offer in at 38.5c, will wait a day or so and see how it behaves before selling.

Placed a sell order on UNV, Universal Coal yesterday of 40,000 shares, sold 28,403 yesterday at 38.5c and today 13,597 at 39c ea. 10% profit in a month, the majority of that time was in a trading halt pending a buyout offer.
The risks; small Cap stock, Coal mine which are not exactly flavor of the month and residing in South Africa, the upside, was going to pay a dividend, it also came out with good financial results and with a forward PE of 1, looked like the punt was worth it.
