Sunny Harris interview about her 4 decades long trading experience

Discussion in 'Psychology' started by Pekelo, Mar 27, 2023.

  1. Think again what you just said.

2k a day on average consistently for 40 years?

I would love to be able to say that after 40 years. Not everyone has a goal of being a billionaire and that is fine. Making 2k a day off trading is something I sign up for immediatelly...

Another thing is that longevity is really not very common in this profession. Lots of traders use the right strategy for the right time, then the tides turn, and profits disappear. Bright shinning stars for 2-3 years. They mistake luck for skill.

So if Sunny lasted this long with only in 2000 being down 11%, then she is pretty damn good.

  4. You have some sort of GILF thing going on with her. The fact she resides in Oside is a huge red flag.

I appreciate the personal attack. Feeds my ego...Funny thing is, in this thread only MY criticism of her has been valid.

What is the deal with Oside?

    Sort of ;
except I got much more out Larry Willam's books= not so much hype or expensive indicators.
Williams %, dont use it much, but ''price is right'':caution::caution:Do use it sometimes.
IBD could have sold a hyped up name for 200 dma, $2 million value!!\ reduced to $2,777:D:D
If anybody does this make sure to send me $2,o77.77 Thanks/personal check money order or regional bank cashiers check...............................................................

Careful, because you gonna trigger him!

FF is wrong, by the way. He thinks in a long carrier both profits and contract sizes should be automatically getting bigger and bigger. I mean it could happen but it is not a given. First a trader can be perfectly happy AND comfortable what they are making and not wanting to swing more, second the markets can be and are changing and what worked 10, 20 years ago not necessary works today. If a trader is able to adapt, that is admirable.

Pretty much none of the successful floor traders made it to the computer age and trading from a laptop.

That is why I said longevity is a rarity in this profession...

  8. South Oside, if you’re close to the ocean is nice. The rest doesn’t exude trading success. To be fair, they have cleaned it up and it’s on the up. It used to be only Jarheads, surfers and bangers but that has changed.

You have no clue whether she's active in the mkts and on what level (if she is). I've never seen a PhD who fails to mention their alma mater. She's a fraud, dude. She sells materials with appropriated/copyrighted materials as her own IP. She's made $2K average over 40Y? So booked over $20MM gross. I doubt she's made a mil, lifetime, from trading.

  10. There is a middle ground between compounding into the stratosphere and staying in place. Which other successful trader do you know who kept his or her trading size pretty much constant since the day they started? No red flags there?

As for Williams, you really need to read this book:

It's dated, but part of it is an expose on charlatan gurus in the business, where old Larry figured prominently.
