Sun Microsystems going private?

Discussion in 'Stocks' started by WallstYouth, Dec 27, 2005.

  1. If Sun's CEO and board of directors does decide to take the company private how would that effect the industry? How exactly does a company on the verge on tanking generate enough assests to buy back all public shares?

  2. The company doesn't generate assets, whoever buys it will, or more specifically, the buyers will need either cash or be able to borrow.

They wait untill the shares are cheap enough to secure financing . The lending banks that have access to their biz plan and books will tell them when that is. Then they get sued by the shareholders that claim they deliberately let the biz slide to reduce the share price to buyback specs. The lending banks have factored this all in. Personally I think Sun is deader than a doornail. The industry won't give a tinkers damn. Open source is the future like it or not. Bet against it if you like, counterfieting is impossible to beat in the long run. There are 5 yr olds all over the world that will be able to outprgram todays best in 10 yrs. while still in high school.

Scott, the buck tooth varment, led this company down the toilet all in an effort to beat MSFT and failed miserably.

SUNW, NSCP all fell to there knees in front of MSFT beause they could not see the forest thru the trees.

ORCL is hanging on by a thread.
