Suggest a good book on economics?

Discussion in 'Educational Resources' started by bundlemaker, Jun 3, 2003.

  1. Can anyone suggest a book that covers real world economics and the various relationships between equity, bond, currency markets and things like inflation and interest rate and how they effect each other?

If not a book, perhaps a web resource or similar.

I'm mostly concerned with practical aspects, not theory (although some of that wouldn't hurt if it's valid theory). Thanks for any suggestions.

  2. If you're looking for market related economic material here are some resources:

George Soros - Alchemy of Finance
Mark Boucher - The Hedge Fund Edge
Peter Navarro - If it's Raining in Brazil buy Starbucks
Ludwig von Mises - Human Action
Ludwig von Mises - Austrian Theory of the Trade Cycle
