quote from insert- While younger wealthy traders would not be on ET much (because of youthful stamina and libido)

the best of the best allow their libido to play out while at the same time posting to ET.

  3. Here's my 2 cents. I think it's nice if you are successful and choose to share your experiences. But you're definitely not under any kind of obligation to do so, moral or otherwise. This is especially true of someone who mastered their craft through diligent study, personal intelligence, and trial and error (is there any other way to learn anything?)

I think giving away your hard-won answers to successful trading, would actually be a DISSERVICE to up-and-comers. Putting in your own blood, sweat and tears and achieving something for your efforts is the whole point of life! Having the answers handed to you creates a life that wasn't worth living.

    well said well said

unfortunately logic can be used to justify anything, immoral behavior etc

to say that every student you help would have a life not worth living is not true

    see what I mean :)

    Insert wrote in another thread:

I learned to trade and am now making 1-3 k per day.
I can teach you in only 3 days
and we would do it by phone and we can trade live and you would be placing same orders as me
but you know what SON, I want 10 k for it.
you probably don't have the money for a real mentor to tell you what to do.
    if you do PM me

  9. The more someone has to be taught how to trade, the less likely it is that that person will be able to make it as a trader in the long term. Even if you can teach someone exactly what you're doing now to make money, and it's black and white enough such that someone else can repeat your process and replicate your results, if he didn't figure out why he's doing what he's doing himself then when the market changes he won't know how to adapt and the arduous teaching you put so much effort into will be useless since your pupil will give back the money they made earlier trying naively to use outmoded strategies that no longer work.

I suspect that most succesful traders don't teach because they believe it would be futile. You can't explain market feel. The more you understand how markets move, the more you see how you would not be providing good by telling others how you trade. All the information one needs to succeed is out there for free on the web - all that's left is gaining one's own experience and developing one's own strategies from his own unique experience.
