Has there actually been a Norwegian village that got into financial peoblems because of subprime investments? Of so, could someone link me to the news item?
I think the point is... That any government entity... like a municipality... Is an accredited, institutional investor... And could be sold these "low-risk bonds". The US regulatory system does not deem it necessary... To protect such sophisticated investors... From making poor investment decisions... Or the entire financial system would freeze up. Not everyone bought this crap, ya know.
