Do i need to seat in front of monitor constantly monitoring or using phone app glancing once in few hours will do?
No need to seat in front of the screen all day. You can set alerts, place limit orders with attached stop loss and take profit. But I do seat in front of the screen for 90min when I day trade futures. For equity, or cryptocurrency, swing trades then I only check the markets and positions at the end of the day. It’s up to you to organize yourself. It’s also going to depend on your strategy, holding time and such. If you use the hourly chart then you might check and do adjustments every hours. A timeframe I would recommend for holding positions overnight, for multiple hours or days. You need to find the rythm, timeframe, that’s best for you.
Maybe don't trade futures? They are cumbersome, costly, low profit margins compared to options.... And nobody understands the sizing like what the hell is a f****** pip?
You read somewhere on the internet that you could make a lot of money trading. Similarly, some members of this forum said you should just buy any stocks. Then HODL. ie just need a few mini calories to click the BUY button. Then after that, you do nothing, absolutely nothing. After many decades, you can retire super-rich. They even show proof that ES, NQ, gold .... have been going up and up and up and up to the moon and beyond. There is no other lazy way to be rich other than changing a wife to a very rich wife.
If you're in a room with 1000 other traders who have been trading for some years, where do you think you'd rank yourself in smartness and experience?
Smartness and experience? Majority of them are losers according to the statistics , how many are able to make substantial gains and keep it? Just few i guess. Smartness and experience not required to get rich in trading markets.
