  2. Holy crap! I looked it up. I had no idea. And here I thought I was an informed consumer because I read the labels...

  4. Well, as I said earlier, I won't be buying anymore anyway. Besides, I'm sure I get enough protein with a normal diet of whole foods. Although I've not a vegan (or vegetarian, if there's a difference), I won't likely up my meat consumption, as I try to keep it modest.

  5. Why did you buy it so sure you are getting enough protein now?

  6. I guess because it was "the thing to do," and because broscience called for more protein than was really necessary. I always knew I was getting more than I really needed, but I only more recently started asking myself "Why?" There was a time when I took some daily (just to be "sure"), never too much, but then, a few years ago, I reduced it only to workout days, post workout. Since I only do RT once a week now (as of last June), I figured it won't make any difference anyway, so why not just keep it 100% natural?

Steak certainly tastes better but it is also a source of saturated fat and depending on it's source, added hormones and anti-biotics.
