Teachable moment... Why do the colorful lines end terminate about 40 years early in this Fraud boys first or second favorite chart which he posts time after time? . 1. The colorful lines are proxies (Tree rings and ice cores are used because Thermometer data is only useful going back at most 150 years... and the early data is only from very limited data sets like a park in London. 2. Why did the chart creator not bring the colorful lines forward? (some proxies are not able to walked up to present time... true... but other proxies data sets are able to brought up very close to present day.) 3. Answer... AGW frauds... do not like to show us that some of the proxies like tree ring data do not agree with temperature record. Some proxies show a decline as instrument data rises. Basically its really bad science to pretend proxies and instrument data can be grafted together instead of showing us that they do not all agree. Yet that is the entire foundation of AGW nutter scientists bullshit. The hockey stick was created with this trick... to hide the decline in some of the proxies.
