It's a fatal mistake to think that job training is more important than education. They are both important, but they are certainly not the same, and not interchangeable.

 

I keep seeing techs at work bemoan why they're not paid as much as the engineers.

 

Now there's some irony, eh? If the engineers were worth the exorbitant money they were paid to design things, there would be no need for techs to fix them when they inevitably break.
