'struggle to remortgage' - new UK FSA rules

  1. "Under proposals published yesterday by the Financial Services Authority, banks and
    building societies will have to assess all mortgage applicants on the basis of their "free
    disposable income", after tax, debt repayments, utility bills and other outgoings including
    "alcohol and tobacco", "clothing and footwear" and the cost of eating out."
