The next stretch for yield is taking place in a vehicle know on wall street as 'structured notes'. The street is beginning to really churn them out and the tempter is the high yields they're dangling. Some think it's the next big fiasco in the making. Keep an eye on them.
"Structured Notes" A debt obligation that also contains an embedded derivative component with characteristics that adjust the security's risk/return profile. The return performance of a structured note will track that of the underlying debt obligation and the derivative embedded within it. Ooooo goody!
