Stratfor failed to secured its client's data. Anonymous found it just laying there.

  1. The funniest thing about this whole situation: in global intelligence Stratfor needed to keep secrets, obfuscate, and use misdirection when handling information.

Now, Stratfor is trying these same techniques *on its own customers*! They try to hide the fact that customer's data was left unguarded, they issue superficial apologies, and use many other techniques of misdirection.

If Stratfor customers fall for this, it's their own fault!
