strategy vs discretional trading in the ES/NQ

  1. of the system can be as wacky as trading at random times. It does not matter if they make sense (in fact, perhaps it's even better if they don't because this means that most will not follow it and that may give you some edge), what matters is whether the system makes money or not. A good trader can trade even at random times, a lousy trader will fail even with the best of systems. The system is only a part of making money in the market. Another part, very important, if not even more, is the trader.
