Strategy testing: what's important and what's not?

Hi everyone!

When you decide to give a chance to the new trading strategy - what's next? What software do you use? Are you satisfied with your current testing environment? Is it important for you to do the testing online/offline? What is the proportion of using your own strategies vs. existing ones?

 

Cool Software, I might check it out. My excel spreadsheets needs a face lift.

 

Can your software let me simulate the P&L of what would happen if I add say, 10% more hold time to winning trades?

 

At the moment no, but thanks for the hint, we'll add it to the list of improvements in the new release.

 

Great. I think that would be a game changer for many traders.
