How about posting some trades for selling put options here (in line with thread title)? If you can prove a good run here then you might get some business from those who are looking for help with options trading?
Sorry, forgot to mention my previous track record (Instant Money Trader) is now on my site. Go here. My put-selling method is very, very conservative. Steady singles all the time. It is not a get-rich-quick system. It is slow and boring and good for adding income to your bottom-line.
Selling puts on high-quality blue chips is a slow & steady money maker. It has worked for me for many, many years and works for our service too. Sure, we can have a market meltdown like 2008-2009, but look where we are now. Stocks rebound. You'll be able to buy great stocks at cheap prices. If not, at least you got paid for the effort. Track record is viewable for the public.
Not saying it doesn't work, but for big money you still have to take big risk. At sane leverage it is, of course, equiv to cov calls. Just buying the market gives decent slow and steady gains from '09 too. Also, implieds are dragging bottom the last few years. Just sayin'....
Hi all, just checking back in after a few years. Still going strong on the put-selling. Public track record can be seen here. Open to all questions, comments, etc.
I did a quick backtest of the smartoptionseller.com strategy based on the trades record. I used the stocks listed in 2019, selling a put 100 days out with a delta of .05, minimum price of $0.20 and exiting when the price fell below $0.03 or when the loss was over 400%. Here are the results: This is just an estimate but you can get some sense how the strategy would have performed in 2008 and 2011. I decided to run another flavor of this strategy and here are the results of my test: Check out the blog on this study.
