the data feed with global and using pats sucks crap and i'm tired of it. the reaction time and fills are slow as hell. ib's 2 times as fast but there comish is too high. is there any other options with global. do they offer other data feeds. sr is not even open till 6:15 eastern on sunday when all others open at 6. what about ninja with zen fire

I suggest first an understanding of your personality traits... by you ONLY not some programme to tell you how you should trade.. only you will know.... If it suits high frequency interaction with the markets ONLY.. then the following is for you.. (Warning: you must understand this is for you first before taking this "suggestion" onboard). SCALP the F@=# out of ticks. For that you need fast platform and low value commis... Try only the very best FCMs.. like Fortis and GNI/MFGlobal... segregate your account... and get commissions as low as 0.20 dollars/10p for volume trades... in futures.. Downside: youll be using X_trader, Pro-Mark, Ecco, AP, CQG platforms which come with a heavy price tag Youll need to have at least $20K to trade..... this is what your looking for... do not be swayed by lower payments on platforms in p0lace for higher trading commissions.. this is absolutely a false economy.. a good scalper will do > 300 RT per day even trading 1 or 2+ contracts.... Read again for maximum value.. this information is the result of 1years worth of daily and extensive analysis... do not dismiss a word of it.. unless high frequency (and actually lower risk) is not for you... If by global you mean MF.. then this sounds strange to you because your expereincing delays etc.. what therefore is your system spec please? ideal minimum= dual core CPU with prioritisation software like http://www.prioritymaster.com/ excellent for JAVA applications.. and min 24GB mem with 8Mbps internet link and all other programmes and unnecessary services on your PC to OFF by default like.. themes..remote access, some sql, etc etc.. google XP services for a better understanding of this, defrag your hdd and use cccleaner to clean registry as well as defrag you HDD and never ever use windows Vista as O/S for trading... Look into Ninja 6.0 for the most comparable fees to run your ATS. Good solid foundation for us but may be missing some tools and structure for the very very active highest frequency trader. With Zen Fire you get the best gateway speed out there. Rithmic is also a high end option for Quants.
