  1. Me too. Don't know how the West Coast guys can hack it. I'd be a basket case in a week.

  4. I prefer W Coast hours cause it leaves half the day to play.

Play for me is outdoor sports. Really cool to get to do what I really want to every day.

  5. I trade forex as a lark and as entertainment. I have had sleeping problems my entire life and was once prescribed a very powerful sedative. I had to quit it as it left me a zombie. My forex trading sucks so far. If I catch on, I could definitely handle the hours.

  6. I get up two hours before the open. I turn on my computer first thing. I check the headlines on Marketwatch. I listen to Classic FM out of London. It is early afternoon there. I shower and shave. I always wear a long sleeved shirt with buttoned down collar with no tie. I always wear blue jeans. Sun, snow or rain I go outside and I fill my bird feeder. I drink orange flavored hot tea and read the local papers. I also read the electronic WSJ, NYT, and the New York sports pages in the Post and News. My housekeeper arrives a half-hour before the open and I usually spend five to ten minutes going over what she needs to do for the day.I do not own a cellphone and I do not like to talk on the telephone. I never take phone calls during the trading day. I check the futures as well as any economic data which may have come out and decide if I need to adjust my trading ideas for the day. I usually eat some breakfast and have some coffee about an hour and a half after the open. I have CNBC on but rarely turn on the sound, I just go with the classical music. If the Yankees play day games as they have been the last three days, I will watch the game without the sound. I usually have a glass of wine a half hour or so after the close. I like the life of a daytrader and I still love to trade.

The problem is I couldn't fall back to sleep leaving my position hangin' :D

been doing it for over a year but found that it's not worth physical and mental health. . Now I just position trade

I live in China and trade HSI. Wake up naturally at 6:45am and turn on the TV news. Get out of bed at 7:45am and do some washing. 8:00am start doing some meditation at another room for about 45 minutes . 8:45 am Go out to buy my breakfast . 9:15 open computers to check emails. Doing some housework until 9:45 when the market opens. Trade till 12:30 pm, then the 2 hours lunch break. Usually eat out and read some newspapers. The market starts again from 2:30pm, trade till 4:15 pm. Go out for some running. Come back for dinner at 6pm, free time after dinner till going to bed before 12:00pm. Wear casually usually sport trousers and T shirts/sweaters whichever fits the weather.
