My desktop is 70% faster than the laptop. Desktop is I7 4770K.
So the laptop is the bottleneck.

I have send all info to Samsung. Will see what they say.

  2. Hello. I would suggest try to check the SATA interface on each board. I have an older desktop computer with a Samsung 850 Pro 256 GB SSD connected through a SATA 3 GBps port and my laptop has the same SSD but connected through a 6 GBps port. There is a significant speed difference when I benchmark them. Its something you could look into.

Yeah I meant the 4770k numbers are near the advertised speeds.
Laptops usually have tons of crapware loaded on it. Just look at the disk usage n cpu usage under taskmgr and kill those that are using a lot of resources. Or just boot into safe mode then rerun the speed test

Just received a call from Samsung. The numbers I mentioned in my first posting are shown in Magician. But guess what?
They are wrong according to Samsung. There is a mistake in the software. They forgot a decimal point, so the real numbers are 10 times smaller. ROFLMAO. So 4277 becomes 427.7
So Magician software is wrong. I could already not believe that what should run around 500-550 Mb/s, would suddenly run 4277. Strange that nobody ever spoke to me about the error. Apparently nobody noticed it.

Samsung proposes to format the slow SSD again and to do a clean install. That would be a huge job for me as there is a lot of software that needs a lot of interaction to install again. Including compiling and protecting lots of things again.

What about RAPID, is it enabled? Also depends on memory. Your desktop is an older generation, memory is faster in your laptop.

    More likely they're using MBit/s, not MByte/s.

Yes, but in all advertising they speak about Mbytes. They should always use the same standard.
The support desk from Samsung said clearly: "there is a decimal point missing."

Which is almost the difference between bits and bytes.

RAPID and TRIM are from start activated on both systems..

But in tests the desktop SSD is much faster...
CPU of desktop is more powerful and double amount of ram compared to the laptop.

Did you try benchmarking in safe mode so you can narrow down the errors
