IMO a speedy trial (or two or three) was never in the cards. The best lawyers were always going to be stumbling over each other to defend dumbazz clown Trumpty Dumpty - good for biz.
To be sure, I was very surprised by The Donald. I was especially pleased to see that he kept his word about selecting his nominations for the U.S. Supreme Court from the list compiled by [I don't remember who]. My mom said he would start World War III. I said that no president before him was able to reign in that crazy North Korean leader, so I was willing to give "Mr. Unpredictable" a shot. Sure enough, under Trump's administration, Kim Jong-un finally suspended the testing (if I remember correctly). Trump might be the worst, but I would definitely vote for him again. Sure, I know he's divisive. But, those on the left will go out of their way (especially with their selective outrage) just looking (salivating...really) for something to divide over. They are as much the problem as he is. I'm more concerned about what he does than I am about what he says. I was happy with the way things were going under his administration, and for me, that's the bottom line.
There is a saying from Winston Churchill; Capitalism: The worst economic system, except for all the others. To paraphrase Churchill: Trump might be the worst except for all the other presidential candidates.
It's also come from a guy who knows every candidate that ran in 2016 Democratic primaries but doesn't know current members of congress.
I've heard this logic many many times. Many many Republicans said the same thing. They were going to vote Republican even if it meant potentially burning down the world. The Evangelicals, who had a problem with Trump in 2016, love him now. Because while he's broken virtually every of the 10 commandments, doesn't read the Bible, and never goes to Church, he's pro-life at least politically now (remember he used to be pro-choice and im sure he's paid for many many abortions).
Incredible considering Trump is a self confessed sexual deviant and the church support him, even when Trump openly admitting wouldn't mind bonking his own daughter given the opportunity.
Religious voters aren’t in it for Christianity. They are in it to force their beliefs onto others. One stone away from being the taliban.
Christianity breeds confrontation and militancy, push back against those who think different. Christianity breeds conformity to what the bible says. The bible preach love on one hand but it needs an enemy, a devil, a scapegoat, and eternal hell as reward for those who don't tow the line of the white shoe shuffling snake oil salemen who claim their prophet jesus grants eternal life only to them. It's always their church is right, every other church a bit fucked up, not realising the whole lot of them are screwed up in the head department.
Trump is not the worst president. I would consider him actually one of the better ones. For once, he's actually done something instead of just talking about them. He lays out what he wants to accomplish if he's elected and he's actually gone through the list and checked them off one by one and accomplished them like what he promised. That was something that's refreshing for ordinary people like us who have to endure politicians who talk all day and do nothing but must be scary to those who really do nothing because it just exposed to us what politicians are supposed to be and how much we have been missing all these years. Like I said George W. Bush is easily the worst president but if you have even voted for him, you would definitely vote for Trump. For 2024!!! LOL That's maybe why they are so scared and are scrambling to come up with charges to lock him up. Wonder what they are going to think of next? Handing out paper to his employees that caused them paper cuts?? Or did not dot all the "i"'s on his business documents?? LOL
