Stopping out

  1. Is this still true? if so, why would anyone put in stops when trading Nasdaq stocks?

    From BMO Investorline:

    "There are differences in how stock exchanges manage Sell on Stop Orders. One key difference is that your Sell on Stop Order will be triggered when a board lot trades at your Stop Price, except on Nasdaq, where a matching Bid will trigger** your order."
