while he's at it, he can teach his kids to not pay taxes ( many wealthy avoid them ), not to pay child support ( many people don't pay it ), not to pay back shcool loans ( many a doctors don't pay them back )....the point is you don't teach based on what other scumbags do...Hell everything can be a business decision...paying child support or paying my bills is a business descsion....peace

Redneck, you sir just lay down a strong foundation and then hope there is a continuation of them building blocks...

  3. You either get it or you don't. I think you try to fall in the latter category.
I'm not condoning screwing the creditors nor am I labeling them as the "cool" thing to do. Someone else has already done that, mainly failed financial institutions, wealthy businessmen and even the US government themselves.
You're from Cuba, then you should understand. It's just hustling. That's what you gotta do to live. You can make a stance by abstaining from those activities, but it's not going to get you anywhere.

Hustling and not paying your credit cards because others got a bailout are not the same thing...as a matter of fact if his kids hutsle correctly they won't have to not pay their credit cards.

You say it's a business decision and I'm saying anytime money leaves your hand it could be a business desicion.

IM with the OP...he wants to not pay more power to him; All I said to him in regards to that is that $12k ain't shit and that perhaps he take that into consideratioon before shooting his wad....peace

You are the one that doesn't get it. Call it whatever you want.

Drug dealers give the same explanation, they are just trying to feed their family by selling drugs and hustling on the street. So did the con man who took people's money...he's just hustling to make a living.

The fact is that you can justify it in your own head because you want to get ahead, and you don't care who you screw over to get there. That's how corruption starts. So either you contribute to it or you don't. Hustling...that's just another word for preying on the weak.

  7. LOL, you're obviously not a trader and have not done it. The game is all about preying on the weak and screwing whoever you can to get ahead. Same in business, same in politics, both governmental & corporate. Maybe you should open your eyes sometime and look at the world you live in.

  8. Obviously there's a disconnect between the two posts you cite.

The post about ripping off the bank by way of the fake injury was submitted in jest. The post about moral judgements of criminal acts of desperation being arbitrary was not.

Sometimes we must trespass to find shelter, steal to eat, and kill to live; sometimes we are entitled or even obligated to set aside the niceties of civilization to survive and/or insure the survival of our loved ones.

And not all people in desperate circumstances are responsible for their situations.

  10. Obviously a subject on many people's minds. Defaults on credit cards will undoubtedly be one of the many crises in the near future. Those of us who always pay on time will probably end up paying higher rates to cover defaults.
