  4. Nice find Warrior interesting story I'm looking for undiscovered Ag plays thought I had one in that COIN but the research went sketchy... this has great promise. Recent Ipo doubled... This is from SeekingAlpha... ~ stoney

The market for farm equipment has skyrocketed due to the growing world-wide demand for higher crop yields. Agriculture has essentially been transformed to a food plus energy venture and has led to some significant profits in farming and related stocks. A set of dilemmas for new investors in the agriculture equipment sector is that the current farm equipment stocks have doubled in the past year, are largely over-owned by funds, and it is difficult to find a solid company with significant upside potential left.

In comes Titan Machinery (TITN). Titan Machinery owns and operates one of the largest networks of full service agricultural and construction equipment stores in North America. Titan is the world's largest retail dealer of Case IH Agriculture equipment and a major retail dealer of New Holland Agriculture, Case Construction and New Holland Construction equipment (all made by CNH Global NV; (CNH)). They already have a network of 35 full service stores including two large outlet locations throughout the upper Midwest and they are rapidly expanding. For example, since the most recent quarter was reported, they have acquired four additional dealerships. They are not only exploring growth domestically, but have also recently begun to expand their offerings overseas.

Titan's most recently announced Q3 report showed robust growth. They increased revenue by 67%, gross profit by 54%, and earnings per share were 0.36 versus 0.13 in the previous year's third quarter. Titan is currently trading around 0.59 price-to-sales and a 17 PE ratio. Based on current industry averages, Titan is trading at a discount to the majority of stocks in the agriculture equipment sector.

During the latest conference call, the CEO David Meyer commented: "Technology is playing a growing role in crop utilization which creates a great opportunity for Titan because this technology requires additional technical skills and resources from a dealer to support."

This shift to high-level technology equipment is extremely important to Titan's growth because the servicing segment of their business yields better margins than the selling of the equipment itself.

Titan Machinery has only two analysts with listed coverage on the stock with a mean price target of $23.50. Titan currently holds the top Investors Business Daily EPS Rating of 99 and a Sales + Profit Margins + ROE [SMR] Rating of "A".

The low P/E, high growth rate, strong insider ownership, small fund ownership and lack of current notoriety in the investment community make this a compelling stock going forward as the company continues to be 'discovered' by the Street. The recent market pullback has provided an opportunity to take a serious look at this stock below the post earnings highs.

    Wow!

KALU & NUE & ATI strong.... ~ stoney

Wow what an understatement these three along with CCC have done all the heavy lifting for me.

Calgon Update $18.40 and climbing earnings this friday.

    Kalu is up 10% today

ATI has been rip roaring up a tremendous amount...

NUE following along with the steels.

Other strong stocks that we may now turn our attention to... CF Industries, Trinity, ACH, Chicago Bridge & Iron, in the little guy arena VNUS really has been holding it's pop quite well, SIGMA got a big downgrade before earnings, I'm on the other side a bit wouldn't be a bad buy at $42 I think we will see $48 after the numbers and guidance... more a consumer call I bet but big price cut has gotten people's attention this morning... looking at it... that COIN has some weird attraction to me despite having taken apart their secondary and not liking everything I saw... mainly a bunch of shares be given away for $5 and change... when the stock is $10... but enough time has passed and this Ag play probably wants to run... watching it... CREE, ah cree what do you say.... can't seem to get going, I've sold but may renter there was a huge block trade today of 265,000 shares- on the e trade chart it looks like a big red sell stick, but my sources on the floor swear it was a big buyer, hasn't budged the stock which is a problem... watching this too... think I bought STP this morning haven't got the confirm from the hedge fund yet, haven't got any reply actually they may be mad at me for pulling out money to buy this weekend house... I close in two weeks by the way.... totally cr**ping in my pants! ~ stoney

  9. Boy that was cutting it close and a conference call that went horribly wrong! I have to take that as a warning to be more careful. But a gains a gain.

    The Power Portfolio>

    ACH @ 46

    CBI @ 44

    TRN@ 30

    KOP @ 41

    CF @ 127

    KALU @ 75

    NUE @ 66

    PANL @ 18

    COIN @ 11

Folks sprinkle your accounts with those and you will not be sorry one bit. Other names to consider, well if COIN is moving that means SEED is moving, an even more sketchy company in my view but I must learn to take due diligence out of this process. SEED will run here too. Ever here of CTIB? Well forget I told you about it it has a market cap of 14 mil! We should just all pitch in and buy this festive balloon company with a pe of 12 and eps of 48 cents and a new deal with Ziploc for a vaccume suck bag for freshness which I think I already saw an ad for on tv and looks really weird... but that meat stays fresh.....

I really hate to say this but TASR might be a buy again. New study just released I'll get you the facts comparing TASR to their rival Stinger... TASR wins, stock is way down might be worth a lok here thursday... STP was good for a $4 skim today off the bottom, the trades are out there, but the going is treacherous, one false step GRMN and pow everything is gone... one surprise & elevation- case in point, Koppers, check out the vertical spike at 12:00 noon when their conference call wrapped up.... Confusing economic situation of stagflation but the stag part of that infers no dip into recession and that will win out eventually, the bounce is still alive... A lot of First Solar money came in today on the dip, smart money is driving the shorts up now but the rug is no longer coming out when they leave.... some damn volume would help.

We were at dangerous crossroads today folks I don't want to be dramatic but i was close to throwing in the rally towel and saying hello $11,900 print on the DOW... and then poof half way through 12,000 on the way to 13,000... we hope.

We have been using the theme song " Can you Feel It " for this mini run... what new more powerful song will take us over the top?... I'm thinking The Great Pretender by Freddie Mercury....~ stoney
