I really want to make a t-shirt with Biden's face and his quote from the first pres debate..."Will you just shut up, man?"
QST up 41% since I posted this. Dipped on earnings day but futures sound great for this firm. Thin trader so lots of daily movement. New CEO has been buying shares and stock has gone from roughly $1.29 to $2.40 since he got hired. 52 week high is $5.68. TOG, ERF, and MEG all rallying with volatility depending on the day's Oil price. May sell TOG at close, already sold ERF a little early.
Sold TOG at $1.80. Looking to re-enter ERF and TVE ( I'm not bullish on Oil just the Cdn value plays in Oil ). Keeping an eye on nat gas plays TOU and BIR for potential rebuys ( have a flyer on CR in this area ). QST I'm holding looking for a home run.
Ok Oil stronger then expected. QST breaking out. Rebought TVE at 0.94 ( ERF opened up quickly ). TOG for TVE switch was planned last week ( TVE earnings were really nice; TOG more typical of Cdn energy waiting for a recovery ). Tricky part is weekly oil report; last week the build put the brakes on Oil rather quickly. ps TVE entry not ideal; all these stocks are fairly dynamic in nature. Bought ERF at 3.14; Oil build lower then expected.
Strong move in Cdn energy today ( I'm holding ESI, ERF, MEG, TVE, QST, CR ). Average buy price on ESI last week under 72 cents; last time it went on a crazy run up like this it touched $1.60.
I think Bitcoins do well no matter who is president. Bought some GBTC when it broke out on that small flag pattern 10/19
From Nov 6th : QST has gone from $1.70 on Nov 6 to $2.96 now ( high $3.15 ). I actually sold around $3 Friday ( Oil drop may cause short term risk ) but I'll look to rebuy on Monday depending on price action. Longer term target is minimum $5-$6 where it was before Covid. So up 74% in a little over two months. Excellent buy if it drops back to $2.68, a steal at $2 but I doubt we see that level again. I suppose if we get a large market wide correction $2 is in play briefly imo. I suspect even at $3 it's a decent buy.
