Up late last night trading GBP/USD, riding it higher as it became more probable No would win. The idea was sound, but didn't go as high as I'd predicted. Ended up giving most profits back by adding too much too late and getting stopped out a few times. Some valuable lessons learned. It was a textbook lesson: fundamentals driving the price / TA for entries and exits. It was also an example of letting my opinion override what the technicals were saying. Volatility was almost too much to bear when some of the results came in.
3 weeks in now. Only 11 trades in total. Account is at break-even, slightly net green, although ARWR which happened to be a winner was larger size and covered most of the losses. 4 winners 7 losers Statistically insignificant.
I'm putting this journal on hold for a while. Currently not in work and have limited funds (sub $50k), which are rapidly being depleted. I've decided to get some more software work in London to boost my trading stake and make things more comfortable. This will mean getting my CV and portfolio into shape, then ideally finding something financial in the square mile. Not The End
