Market View - 29.Mar.2010 NYSE Percent of stocks above the 50 Day MA: 78% Buy Aggressively Buy Cautiously Hold Sell Cautiously Sell Aggressively (the highlighted option is my current sentiment) There is no reason to take any risk here. We will now wait for the market to pull back. I will be looking for a sell exhaustion day to get back in. The last three times I did this i was able to time the entry very very close to the short term bottoms. And all of the three times I made my buys after 3:45 PM. My short position DRV is still in the red, but I feel confident that it is going to recover soon. I am mostly in CASH right now.
NYSE Percent of stocks above the 50 Day MA: 85% Buy Aggressively Buy Cautiously Hold Sell Cautiously Sell Aggressively (the highlighted option is my current sentiment) My opinion hasn't changed in the last two weeks. The Market is over bought to be making new buys. This is too risky for my taste. I did leave some money on the table due to my early exit, but I feel very comfortable with my decision. Have a FANTASTIC WEEK!

Yesterday 19.Apr.2010 was an interesting day! Even though the markets significantly closed higher the breadth of the market actually had a bearish move. I have been computing 30 different tests/variables for a subset of stocks every single day which helps me get a clean dissection of the markets that day. One such variable is to compare the dollar value of the stocks that closed green against the dollar value of the ones that closed red. More than 90% of the bullish dollar volume was contributed by the stock C, yesterday, which is the reason the markets closed higher. I am still of the belief that the internals are slowly breaking down and we will see a significant pull back.
Stocks I liked from Fri's action: DECK SHLD Look at the 6 month graph and you will see why. Set your stops at Fri's lows. Good Luck!
