I think fundamentally the shift to a boom again will be from ai. It's astonishing what's possible and how many processes can be automatef ( and I don't refer to dancing robots). But I am probably biased because of my profession in the field.
The key phrase here is they can. For some reason, many people think that if they can, then it will definitely be so. And this is just a guess, which may or may not work.
We are in like fall 2000 that everyone knows the party is over but everyone is massively hung over and in denial that there isn't going to be another bash like that for some time. It is a much worse spot than 2000 though. Much like partying as hard as in 2000 but now you are 20 years older and not able to recover as quickly.
