Remember when I told you to get into Upstart on that pull-back to like $106?
Of course we were playing it in and out.
You did well calling it a short in the $160's, but we both knew it was gonna head up long-term.
    $311 now.

Point being, I'm not sure if AFRM will do the same thing, tbh I doubt it will, UPST came out of the gate strong af, as these high flyers go. The only other one that has done that, and it's pulled back, is Roblox. I don't think it was as strong as Upstart though.

It wasn't long ago that I said this market is just looking for any excuse to go up. Now however, it's looking for any excuse to go down. Imo at least.
I did a bunch of drawing the other day across various time-frames and various sectors.
I feel pretty confident that one "multi-day headline" type scare could easily send the S&P below 4K.
As to what that could be.... no idea. The DC bs is priced in. To a degree at least.
    Taiwan?
Maybe.... but China's just dickin' around. They may have a plan for Taiwan, safe bet they do, but it won't happen anytime soon. They play the long game.

So for now, things will go up on bs news, and down on bs news.
"The Turtle said.... blah blah blah."
    Manchin said.... "blah blah blah.".
    Whatever.

In the end it all depends if folks are traders or in it for the long haul. For the long haul, you dollar cost average in on quality stocks you've done your homework on. For trading.... well, you better have good intuition and good chart reading skills.

Two stocks I like, both relative newbies... MQ and AI. Of course I've written that a half dozen times on Stoney's thread. And ZI... as I have said before, it exhibits the characteristics of a very strong stock. Sure it pulls back when tech does, but I watch it. I'll tell you what stock it reminds me of, Atlassian back in the day. TEAM. And I lost money on that thing. I can remember shorting that b***** around $108 .... I gave up.... and I never took it long. But I did watch it. No one understands what they do, but the damn thing just kept climbing. That's why I like ZI. Intuition I guess. But it's the same damn pattern and the same kind of hard to understand stock that for some apparent reason holds its ground.

  2. You called UPST perfectly, wish I stayed in it for the full value. Same with PWR another safe power stock. There's a small pump the kids are moving with help from hedge funds. Have you heard of PROG? I saw the classic volume churn at $1.40-$1.50 and did nothing but watch.

SOFI is getting ramped up on an upgrade with a $25 target plus I believe it got pumped on CNBC. Earnings estimated to be November 10-11. I am guessing it pulls back from this $18 level since some major moving averages are in play on the daily.

  4. PROG looks interesting for AH. It’s $2.10 now. It’s not a risk less stock so be careful!

I traded SOFI FCX MARA etc in the am... I think crypto energy oil metals have been good relative strength plays lately

  7. I would rather buy and hold some of the multi-year twenty plus baggers(ISRG) you picked that don’t require a bottles of Xanax to hold! These pumps are having shorter and shorter life spans. Your picks are quality!

MSTR. Company owns 114K bitcoins worth $6.5B , market cap of MSTR is $7.5B

At least 3-6 month hold, if btc hits $100K, MSTR could go to $!500-$2000+

I'm talking my book, long MSTR calls for some nice upside if it happens. If it doesn't, there's always the next play

[edit: oops, for reference risk $11,800 on a Jan/22 $750 strike call, stock price currently $730]

    NFA

    Be careful with that one.
Personally, I don't like that trade at all Johnny. fwiw

Edit.... Partially because I don't understand the accounting on this. What if they sell them all? Is that a special dividend to the shareholders, or do they go out and buy a new HQ for their underlying operation? Or buy whatever, you get the idea. Maybe the insiders will sell millions of shares the day they announce they are selling. Maybe they'll never sell.
This one requires tons of DD.... I know you're sharp as a tack, but why not take that $12K/contract and diversify a little. Put that money somewhere else.
I dunno... I don't like this trade lol.

OCGN is ramping as the WHO appears to be close to approving their vaccine or the one they are associated with. As I understand it, they only have rights in the US and Canada. It seems to me they are too far behind the curve to benefit much. If this is true this is a sell the news or short once they get WHO approval.
