    what's the deal?
  2. It could be a DNS issue, as my ISP can't even lookup presently..

    this gives me great consternation
  4. Apparently there is a problem with the name servers:
"A timeout occurred getting the NS records from your nameservers! None of your nameservers responded fast enough. They are probably down or unreachable. I can't continue since your nameservers aren't responding."
  5. Have they gone out of business? Still down
  6. Hello Fellow Chartwatchers!

In case you were not aware, the Seattle area was hit with a major windstorm on Thursday evening. Around 1am local time Friday morning, the power at our offices was knocked out. Power was also knocked out at more than a million homes and businesses in the Seattle area. In addition to knocking out our power, the storm also affected our internet connections and even our ability to physically access our offices.

Power remained off at the offices until about 5am local time Saturday morning. Things are back online now and we are checking our systems now to make sure that everything is working properly. We are aware that much of Friday's data was missing this morning and we are in the process of collecting it now and posting it to the site.

We apologize for this outage. Please understand that the windstorm was the strongest storm to hit this region in decades. While our systems are designed to handle power outages, they were never designed to handle something of this scale. From the sound of it, we are actually lucky that our power came back this soon - many other places will not have power for many more days.

We have already added two free days of service to all of our subscribers accounts as a result of this outage. Your expiration date should already reflect that additional time.

Finally, when our email servers came back online, we received thousands of messages from concerned subscribers. The flood of messages was too much for us to handle individually. Hopefully, this message answers the most common questions however if you sent us a question about something other than the site outage or Friday's missing data, please send it again. Also, please understand that we will need time to working through the message backlog.

    Thanks again for using,
    Chip Anderson
