Just wondering how many have found the Stock Trader's Almanac of use in their trading? I just ordered the 2004 Almanac for it's daily tendencies info. Has anyone found other info it contains of use? http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0471477540/ref=nosim/profitsourcepubl/002-7450262-4780051
I'm a new trader and have started the year off with a 2004 copy. The general knowledge and historical statistics of each calendar day are all I can really use as a prop scalper... as I learn more and start getting into larger time-in momentum trading I'll be using far more, I'm sure.
I just got my 2004 Almanac for the first time. So far I like it alot and think lots of the info has value. I have traded against some of the stats in the last few months and got punished. I will keep a closer eye on the Seasonal and daily stats in the future. I mostly day trade futures but usually have a few swing positions open. I think it is worth the $25.00
At my old job, my boss gave those out each year as Christmas presents. It was interesting to thumb through but basically ended up as a paper weight on my desk. Seasonals have never had much value in my experience.
