ElCubano, you encouraging others to stay at resorts in Cuba is the equivalent of supporting a racist policy. If you cared about the Cuban people you would not do so. In that thread I pointed out that I wouldn't encourage folks to stay at an Israeli resort if they LEGALLY BARRED Israelis from being there. You would encourage it in Cuba, so would you in Israel as well?
Uh, I can say it's 1 out of 1159 and be right, because that's exactly what it is. Not much mystery here, you cited one example, and you had posted at the time 1159 times and called me wrong. I'm not making any assumptions, you simply said i was wrong and cited one example. I said that I don't believe citing one example makes me wrong. That was a lot of words without saying too much. What are we so ignorant about? You think we're ignorant about so many things, yet can't write down one single example?? That seems strange. Also, this paragraph above sure seems to be supporting my initial claim, no? You just generally accused all Canadians of being ignorant without supporting your argument at all! AND called us obsessed with the USA??? Ah yes, it's because I'm ignorant. It's not because everywhere I go you spout mean, unwarranted, useless verbal diarrhea. Instead, I'm not ferreting out the nuggets of solid gold you're leaving everywhere I'm not looking. You not being able to point to a single useful post of your own about trading sure is telling to me and everyone else reading these boards however.... Thanks! TNG
Usually negating someone's accusation with proof means that the accuser was wrong...but since you're Canadian you may not understand such logic. I find Canadians ignorant about many things including world history, politics, arts, etc. Discussions in detail about politics generally seem to draw blank stares or blind agreement in my experience. Hahah...just came across this story: http://www.reuters.com/article/oddlyEnoughNews/idUSN2924580120070702?feedType=RSS&rpc=22&sp=true I didn't generally "accuse" anyone...I made a blanket statement, fully knowing that it was only a broad statement, and don't think all Canadians are naive or ignorant as I've met many intelligent Canadians. Yes, Canadians are EXTREMELY OBSESSED with the USA. Why should I do work for you? Like I said, I don't have anything to prove....my account values are all I really care about and those are extremely satiating.

Nope, I guess I don't understand your logic. I say that you appear to just want to bash everyone, and you cite one example in 1159 of helping someone, and claim that as proof that your goal is to help people. This part of this conversation is going to go nowhere very quickly, but I will cite an example of something I ran into recently. I met an American the other day who told me he felt Candians were very ignorant of politics too. I asked him why he felt that way, and he said "the last Canadians I talked to had no idea who was running for President, or what their platforms are...." I sure hope you can find the humor in that statement. But in all seriousness, do you really believe Americans are knowledgable in those areas, or are you just trying to use this as ammunition? The countries voting rate is abysmal, and I wonder if a large part of Americans even know they are supposed to vote! Yeah, that is sad. Does that tell you Candians are ignorant, or does it tell you that they made the test very difficult? My guess is somewhere in the middle. What's funny is that Canadians beat (very handily, I might add) American's in reading, writing, math and science measured by PISA. http://www.nces.ed.gov/pubsearch/pubsinfo.asp?pubid=2002115 http://www.pisa.gc.ca/pisa/brochure_e.pdf On the literacy tests, so did New Zealand, Australia, Ireland, Korea, Japan, Sweden, Austria, Belgium, Iceland, Norway and France. However, if knowledge about your own country is your standard of measurement for ingorance, I'd say American's win. There's nothing like American pride, I tell you. How many times have you been to Canada? How many people have you met there? While I wouldn't say that we're obsessed with the USA, I would say that because a lot of our media comes from there, we deal with a whole lot of American issues. You should do work for me if you would like to win this argument. That's how debating works. TNG
Logic dictates that if someone accuses you of never having done or said anything supportive and you negate that with specifics, the accuser is wrong. For some reason your criteria went from "ANY" post to "ALWAYS" posting. You quickly moved from a conversation to trying to bash Americans. I never claimed anything regarding Americans. You continue to support my belief that Canadians are obsess with the USA. Thanks for playing. I've been to Canada about 5 times and spent about 3 months in Vancouver and another 2 or so traveling across the country. I've met a couple hundred Canadians in the country and another 50-60 outside the country while traveling. Good enough gauge for me considering I've traversed a large part of the country and find Canadians nice, but fairly ignorant and uninformed outside of North American news at best. I've already won this argument. Winning for me means annoying you and you're clearly irked since you broke out the typical Canadian anti-American rhetoric. Do they give you idiots a field guide for that? Now I'm just teasing you because you're just supporting my points about Canadians being naive and obsessed with the USA. I only mentioned mentioned being Americans and you started bashing them. Too funny, thanks dummy.
LOL, I assure you, you do not have the ability to "irk" me in anyway. My original point which still remains is that I believe your goal here is to bash other people. Thanks for proving this, once again, by stating "Winning for me means annoying you..." LOL. On the upside though, glad you've been to my country so many times. Hope you had an enjoyable stay! TNG
You can deny it but you wouldn't have posted to me in the first place if you weren't irked by my posts...nice try though. I have no goal. Although annyoing you, which I clearly do, is funny to me. Canada is a beautiful place and Canadians are nice even if they're not very intelligent. If this isn't an irked response perhaps you should rethink grammatical response: AND called us obsessed with the USA??? And it was good of you to just completely ignore my comments regarding your dumb little anti-American rant. Good job, thanks for playing.
Just trying to make this place a better place. You should try aiming to have a positive impact on the world for once, it makes you feel good. You have no goal, you have a goal, you've accomplished your goal... whatever dude. Calling a country that ranks higher on worldwide standardized tests than yours ignorant isn't a very intelligent thing to do. LOL, nice try. Just like you've ignored all the valid points I've continually smacked you with? When are you just going to give up and concede? LOL. Also, you're losing points for reading comprehension by the minute. Nothing in there was "anti-American". I love the US, I live here now. There are problems with this country, just like every country including Canada. I pointed that out to show the irony of you calling Canadians ignorant, but obviously it went way over your head. TNG
I do my best to make the world a better place where it actually matters. A message board loaded with whiners is a better place to get laughs...thanks though stupid. "Worldwide standardized tests?" Oh no, not some worldwide standardized tests!!! I never said anything about the USA...yet you keep on going on and on about the USA. Once again, your obsession is blaring. You haven't made any points. You accused me of having never said anything supportive or constructive and I disproved that. Is that your supposed "smack?" Your rant was anti-American because I only mentioned being from the US and you went on a tirade about how Americans aren't as smart as Canadians and others according to some stupid tests. Your pointing out that Americans score lower on a test didn't go over my head...it's just that you are the only ones discussing Americans, I haven't said anything about them. You keep on posting and posting about Americans even though I've not said anything directly about Americans. You're obsessed, just like the rest of your naive friends north of the border who can't stop talking about the US. Why don't you whine about softwood lumber now? Good job little one, you're really running around in circles like a dumb dog now.
