In the latest edition of Stocks and commodities magazine, they have an article on Gary Smith. In the article, Gary Smith gives the code for his stock scan using tc2000. Being new to the trade I was wondering if Tradestation 2000i was setup to do scans of this type, and was wondering if anyone was skilled enough to be able to convert his code over to Tradestation. I do not have support for my tradestation, and have had to trial and error my way up to this point, and have had only basics in easy language. Any input would be appreciated. thanks John
Slightly off subject, but that was an old article, from around 2000 or so. I'm not sure, but I think those scans would get you killed in this market.
You are probably going to have to put all the issues you want to scan in Radarscreen and write the EZ Language to detect issues exhibiting the behavior you want. How much programming have you done? Sierra Charts is a somewhat overlooked program in that it can be set up to scan without much (any?) programming at all as long as you can get by with their canned indicators. Max
