Yes, candle, the sites you mention provide great info, but i take exception to your characterization of momentumstockplays as "snake oil". You have no direct experience to prove that, nor have provided any evidence. All you have is talk, and we know just how cheap that is. Have you taken the time to even look at the links that were posted. No, I guess not, it's easier to shoot off your big mouth than it is to engage your brain, isn't it candleman? It isn't "snake oil" if you put your $$$ where your mouth is. The results speak for themselves much louder than all the chicken little's hollow rants. "the sky is falling" the sky is falling" lol ps where's the rest of the "snake oil" peanut gallery, i'm surprised they haven't chimed in
.....Well.....actually, yes...."Katrina"...... A new poster with a "think twice about this name" and a TOTALLY too-good-to-be-true Elite Trader Profile? C'mon now, do YOU give a three month trial....?!
Hey Katrina, 5 posts so far and most in defense of momentumstockplays! Its always wonderful to have newbies come on and immediately start pumping stocksites... I will let the readers make their own decisions but its pretty obvious to me what you are up to and who you represent... any reasonably intelligent reader will swiftly come to the correct conclusion... Nice going! Candle
<i>it's easier to shoot off your big mouth than it is to engage your brain</i> So you mean saying things like: <i>a few crybaby trader wannabees who can't measure up. </i> and <i>all the chicken little's hollow rants</i> <i>Performance over time is the only reasonable way to see if you are the real deal.</i> Absolutely. This also goes for ET posters. <i>where's the rest of the "snake oil" peanut gallery, i'm surprised they haven't chimed in</i> You knew it was coming, didn't you?
well, it's friday, hehe, so here goes... the only thing that could reliably tell you if all these "vendor gurus" are still any good, if, indeed, they ever were all that good, hmm, would be if they actually, oh dear, traded... and actually shared the quantifiable results of their trading with their target group... and even if its just a model acct for proving their qualities and not necessarily personal, uhh, wealth... albeit a model acct traded with real money and for a statistically relevant long term period... and where results could be, umm, audited... from what i hear of the way sales works, and there are seemingly enough sales people here, you couldn't hope for a more effective way to generate even more, ahh, sales... after all, they are making certain claims here in order to sell something - not bad in and of itself -, BUT they should then accordingly be able to back up their claims... and because those claims are fully quantifiable if trades were actually made in accordance with their methods, - the latter being the premise for the whole endeavour, no? -, and thus easily to be proved or disproved there shouldn't be any problems there that couldn't be overcome... only then would you actually know anything that is worth knowing... after all, writing a book, hosting a web site or giving a seminar that show the instances where money was earned, or, at least, would have been earned, do not answer the only relevant question... ie, would i have earned more money than i lost over a relevant time period... not that even that would clear up the tiny little issue of liquidity... as in, 50 people jumping in at the same time... and out again... oops. but anyway, imo the crucial issue is not searching for secrets that don't exist, no, it's just doing it, and doing what you see in the markets after having studied them long enough, doing what then fits you as a person and not maybe someone else... simple entries, good trade management as in not letting your losses run while cutting your winners, money management that gets you where you want to go in accordance with your risk appetite, and just generally having the nerves to go through with that, the last point probably being the most important.
Threei, I didn't know to contact you regarding the actual trades of your site. Instead, I emailed support who I just heard back from this am. So far, realitytrader and momentumstockplays are the only one's who've gotten back me. I would assume that realitytrader is posting only their futures trades. As I mentioned earlier, momentumstockplays doesn't post their trades anymore. Here are the links: Realityrader.com http://www.realitytrader.com/index-records.htm Momentumstockplays.com http://www.momentumstockplays.com/M...utportfolio.asp As soon as I hear back from the others, I'll post it.
Here is freshest example of why we don't keep record in traditional way. Sorry, can't resist to demonstrate it on live fresh trade: [11:17] (Threei) DBI Setup: OVER 29.80 trigger, 30 is stop [11:27] (Threei) Attention: OVER cover half Several members said no fill. Next remark: [11:28] (Threei) anyone got OVER? If not I won't track it Just one trader reported fill and taking scalp in full. So I am not tracking the play anymore unles there is nothing else to do and I want to use it for pure educational purposes. I have no doubt that service keeping track record would include this trade in it. Would it be objective reflection of performance. IMO, no. It might seem right or not to anyone, but agree, it's honest. Vad p.s. DBI setup is short call
Follow my thread under Intraday / Swing Trades. I have been on this board for about 3 weeks and post my trades as close to real time as possible. I am not recommeding these plays to you but just as a guidance with any other services you use. I journal my trades, P&L, some reasoning on the positions I open and brief market commentary if anyone is interested.
Yes, a sounding YES, the over trade IS a reflection of your performance. You called the trigger, it triggered and went into the $. Good call, and those that took the trade and were filled made $. Those that didn't get filled didn't make $, but the POTENTIAL win was there. The # of POTENTIAL wins you call as opposed to losers is your performance. Those in the room that are not living up to the potential of their mentor should be aware of this so they can take corrective action. But how do they know what the STANDARD is if you don't make one??? How do potential new members know what your performance is if you don't quantify it for them??? You are playing golf but you never keep score. How do we know if you aren't a duffer but for your score?
