I'm using Newsfilter.io API. Not sure how good their site is but I think it does auto-refresh (realtime feed)
Well, personally I’m using a carefully curated twitter feed(I use tweetdeck) and I branch out from that… For my long term trading I read seekingalpha, for my everyday research I use a customized RSS feed with businesswire and I do read zerohedge, although it gets harder to get around the political stuff. Through the years I’ve had several trading accounts with different brokers, as I do now. Ameritrade have a news functionality, IB have one, my primary trading platform has a news panel as well and I find it quite useful. There’s everything you need and it updates automatically. With a quick glimpse I see the latest headline, the stock symbol it is related to and the source it is derived from.
That was helpful, thanks. It’s a first time I come across this RSS feed thing and I find it interesting, can you give me some more guidance on that, how do you use it? And what is your trading platform?
I personally haven’t researched more about the RSS, just a while back found something that works for me and stuck with it, look around the businesswire website and you will find what you need. You can google search the trading platform as well, I like it and I get lots of bang for my buck with it.
I don't pay attention to news or fundamentals much, maybe I look at my Barchart news feed or Google if I want news about a stock, I watch Fox Business a little just for fun, Jesse Livermore said not to pay attention to stock news but he also did a lot of reading and researching.
