Here is what I'm looking at for this week. Early this week, looking to go long gbpcad for a day or two. Then around mid week, look to short eurusd to end the week. I will likely use limit orders to take profits if they get hit. I have no idea how far these trades could move, so I use the thinking that they will be range bound and take reasonable profits if and when they come. I always use stop loss orders. This is my general outlook for the week. I am not responsible for other traders profits or losses based on what I look to do.
y7ewwwwwwwwwwwwww mnu Ahhhh MOON ahhhhhh Whacko! There was another guy shorting go!d based on astrology didn't go well for him lol
But it doesn't work, your just only remembering the times it works forgetting the failures. If you use it as a crux, let profits run and kill losers then you can still profit even off a coin flips which are equally as good, but you'd trust less as you don't believe.
I do agree that The Delta Phenomenon "concept", regardless of which variation is used, is closely tied to Outcome Bias... weighting the outcome rather than the decision that led to the action that created that outcome. EW, imo, is similar in this regard. That said, astrology, and therefore the moon do have a place, imo, if one cares to look. For one, astrological events are immutable. Therefore, they are and can be used for "anchoring" TIME. Time, of course, relates well with cycles. If you have no place for "time" in YOUR trading, time anchoring would have no value: that's YOUR belief, it's ok. For another, there is evidence the "lunar effect" DOES affect human (and animal) life. Since we all know "the market" operates on two basic human characteristics, fear and greed, understanding human triggers CAN be useful... Here's a recent BBC lunar effect easy-read article, no mention of finance however.... http://www.bbc.com/future/story/20190731-is-the-moon-impacting-your-mood-and-wellbeing. The OP clearly stated his "calls" are not a trading system with priced entries or exits. If YOU have "no interest" or a pre-determined closed mind regarding astrology... Good trading to you, move on!
Thank you for the comment. I actually don't consider this as a form of astrology, as I have no idea how they do what they do. It has some effect on life on Earth that seems to affect almost anything from the weather to the possibility of war somewhere. I'm not implying predestination of all things as I from a religious standpoint don't believe in that. It does seem useful for trading any freely traded market.
I once years ago called an astronomer to see if there was some time period in which the time of day the full moon occurred again at the exact same time of day and then the cycle starts all over again and he said that would never happen as the numbers don't devide into each other that that would ever happen.
