Dow off 145-170 all day long, last 20 minutes people have the urge to buy??? Going to be an interesting close.
Waiting to see if the Dems pass their lousy health care reform with reconciliation and blow up the economy or if they can be stopped. Haven't we learned what happens from these massive entitlements like Social Security and Medicare? Stay tuned.
Dont forget about the extension of unemployment benefits!!! Market has a lot to look forward, between this trillion dollar health care reform and tens of billions of dollars to extend unemployment benefits this economy is batting a 1000% +++ Just keep on spending, thats the best way to drive this economy to a successful recovery!!!!!
Nah nothing is moving, seems they have taken the markets quietly higher over the last 2 hours. That last 15 minutes of trading is coming and the volatility is expected to come in at around that time before the close.
My experience is that when you have a big year in the stock market, like last year, people are selling stocks from February into mid-March to raise money for taxes. This is pretty typical action for this type of environment, slow and choppy. I wouldn't be aggressive short here though for any multiweek time frame. I think we take off higher again in March or April. The big picture is low interest rates, low inflation and an improving world economy, a very bullish picture for stocks. Plus we have a new technology cycle in wireless communication and devices.
I forgot to add, buy anything by 4pm because Monday is usually a guarantee that markets move higher, not lower.
