Oscillators are useless indicators. Anyone claiming edge by oscillator usage is showing its true ignorant colors. Samples posted are cherry picked based on optimal conditions for the oscillators. Nexen
Pstallone: Sorry you got diverted up the 'hershey highway' on this thread. I use oscillators as part of my daytrading strategy. Some thoughts: 1. Don't necessarily settle for the charting package defaults. Play around with different settings. 2. Use multiple timeframes for the same studies. 5, 10, 30, 60 minutes and etc. 3. Always know the daily and weekly timeframe oscillator action for your market of interest. 4. When daytrading oscillators, be careful about the amount of time you allow for the positoin to prove itself correct. You need some order flow behind you - don't be the only one in the market convinced that the price is 'overbought' or 'oversold'. Good Luck.
