I am not keen on crab as a food. I keep picturing them all skulking around on the sea bed picking at the decaying corpses of drowned sailors which is very off putting.
I like sofy shell crab at the Chinese restaurant which have been eating dead sharks, the ones thrown overboard with fins cut off and full of murcury. Drowned sailors don't have much or any murcury (other than teeth fillings) so not as tasty.
Crabs apparently like human meat too but don’t often get the chance. Beware a hungry Japanese spider crab.
I thought it was only the fatty albacore tunas that had high mercury levels in their flesh. Sharks are fine. Unless it was the one that got Quint. Bah, what do you know, yer upside-down.
