No dumb ass, there is no argument for a carbon tax.

  2. That's just non-sense.
Your complaint is other countries govt action distorts price information signals.Pray tell how our govt playing the same game too, restores the integrity of pricing signals .

    here's a hint it doesn't.

Gov't protectionism harms both consumer (in prices )and producer (shittier product shielded by cronyism and govt mandate).

for the same reasons we do not allow monopolies we should not allow price manipulators to blow our manufacturers out of existence.

Our consumers do not need unnecessarily cheap goods, which would bring short term advantage but long term joblessness.

If trade is not free... there is no compelling reason to argue a hands off approach is best.

there are too many examples or countries targeting industries and growing them to competitive levels.

As I said, we don't allow monopolies, we don't allow dumping, we pretend we don't allow subsidies... the peg is all those things at once.

  4. Under Medicaid and Medicare, it is a de facto right for those who are unable to pay for it themselves or are seniors.

A nice cabin cruiser is a luxury. A summer in Tuscany is a luxury.
Health care is something altogether different. I'll let you figure out the difference.

  5. I say a hands off approach is best even if trade is not free by your accusations.

Anything to the contrary is just using the excuse "they did it first" to justify managing the economy through tariffs.

If you are going to advocate a managed economy at least be honest & admit you want an economic fascist state.

  6. A)There is no difference, all 3 require people to pay for goods or services rendered without exception.

B)All three have limits on availability despite infinite demand.

Govt cannot change the veracity of either A or B by decree.

  7. it's a luxury until you can't pay for it. You sell your cabin cruiser and your summer in Tuscany, and if you still can't pay for it, I will.

It's amazing to me that you and many others haven't figured out the difference.

Think about it. I'm a generous man, and will give you all the time you need.

  8. Those are some pretty broad shoulders there to take on the poor people's medical bills, and you're going to feed them too!?

  9. poor peoples medical bills and food stamps are just a drop in the bucket. You and I wouldn't even notice it.

The problem is, I am about darn near ready to qualify for the senior citizens discount at Denny's. And even if I ate the crap they serve that they call food, it could be better used helping young kids that are just starting out trying to raise families.

I don't see what the big deal is about being a senior. By then you should have got your kids raised and made enough money betting against young inexperienced traders to not have to worry too much about money.

And like I said, if you made bad bets, I'm here for you. It could have gone the other way for me also.

You talk like most people are sick and make bad business decisions.

A few do, and those of us that didn't can more than take care of them.

Most people are just like you and me and do what is right.

The problem arises when dumbasses like you think you are smarter than everybody else.
