IMO the chair is near perfect.

Seat is mesh, backrest is mesh, you won't even feel your body heat.
    Arms are fully adjustable.
It has a back support thingee.

The best way to describe the chair is that you will forget that you are sitting down.

Go and try it at a Relax The Back Store (if there is one near you).

    Bung,

There is a product on the market called Capsaicin, you find it in the same section as Ben Gay or Flex All. CVS and Walmart have generic versions. It has no odor, and really works to relive pain. I used to use it on my knees when I was running. A tube will usually run about $7.

Here is one well two words of caution. Use it very sparingly. If you use too much before your skin is used to it, it will burn as in red rash burn your skin. Hot water in the shower or the sun will cause pain as well.

It does help if you are just a little active and sweat just a little to activate it.

And remember, Im not a doctor, but I play one in some of my fantasies.

Before I was a newbie trader, I was a chiropractor for 16 years. Make sure that your desk is ergonimically set up.

Your monitors should be eye level, and if you use multiples, try to get them close together, so you just move your eyes, and not your neck. Your elbows should be at right angles and resting comfortably on a wrist pad. Try putting something under your desk to put your feet on, helps your low back, and neck.

Try a glare screen if you have a crt, flat panels are much better about glare. Are your eyes ok, needing glasses can give you headaches, and neckaches from straining.

Move your neck. Slow rolls, both ways, several times a day.

And, finally, go see a chiropractor. Don't pick the one with the biggest yellow page ad, because you pay for it. Get a recommendation from someone you know. And, if he wants to sign you up for 5 treatments a week for 6 months, find another one. If you are not getting results after 3-4 treatments, talk to him about it.

I used to tell my patients, if it applied... What you are doing (staring at a monitor all day, driving a rig, bending over the fender of a car, etc.) is causing your problem. You don't have to quit your job to feel better, just find a different way to do it.

If you want to talk further, pm me.

I found the Aeron chair and I agree, it was very comfortable.

Has anyone also tested/bought the Humanscale Freedom chair? Which did you like better?

I have the freedomchair (TaskChair), but the primary reason that I bought the Hermanmiller Aeron was that it doesn't heat up after sitting on it for a long time. All the other chairs get really warm.
