Steve Jobs just died

  1. From wikipedia:

After Bloomberg accidentally published Jobs' obituary in 2008, Arik Hesseldahl of BusinessWeek magazine noted that "Jobs isn't widely known for his association with philanthropic causes", compared to Bill Gates' efforts.[91] After resuming control of Apple in 1997, Jobs eliminated all corporate philanthropy programs.

  2. Well he basically invented the personal computer you're typing on right now. If it wasn't for jobs, you'd be posting letters to elitetrader. While we're on the subject, what the fuck have you ever done for society?

wait until? it is working for at least 2,500 years.
i agree, modern medicine is nothing more than a ruthless business.

the same story as with michael jackson: too many people wanted to profit from illness.
when in reality, successful therapy is ultra cheap and easy:
    - sun
    - vitamin B17
    - carrots and apples
    - turmeric
    - grapefruits
    - flaxseed oil mixed with cottage cheese (budwig method)
    - garlic
    - chaga and reishi mushrooms

jobs probably received none of these. instead, huge loads of toxins.

time and health is our most valuable asset.
yet my prediction is that most people will focus on business-related effects of this sad event. almost nobody will care what was the reason of his premature death.

  9. Steal yes.

Jobs returned to his previous job at Atari and was given the task of creating a circuit board for the game Breakout. According to Atari founder Nolan Bushnell, Atari had offered $100 for each chip that was eliminated in the machine. Jobs had little interest or knowledge in circuit board design and made a deal with Wozniak to split the bonus evenly between them if Wozniak could minimize the number of chips. Much to the amazement of Atari, Wozniak reduced the number of chips by 50, a design so tight that it was impossible to reproduce on an assembly line. According to Wozniak, Jobs told Wozniak that Atari had only given them $700 (instead of the actual $5,000) and that Wozniak's share was thus $350

PLEASE let's stop blabbing on about what he did for humanity. He did a lot for his shareholders and customers, like any good businessman. I personally find his gadgets quite irritating, but appreciate others hold a different view.
